Abstract PDF: Purpose
This study aimed to develop and test a structural equation model on health status of delivery workers. The conceptual model was based on the theory of salutogenesis.
Methods
Data were collected from 262 delivery workers working in D and K cities from August 2 to August 27, 2021. The structural equation model was used to assess the relationships among the variables. The model comprised three exogenous variables (working environment, social support, health promotion activities) and two endogenous variables (sense of coherence, health status). The data were analyzed using SPSS 23.0 and AMOS 22.0.
Results
The hypothetical model showed a good fit to the data: χ²/df=2.38, TLI=.91, CFI=.93, SRMR=.08, RMSEA=.07. Out of 10 research hypotheses, 10 were supported, and explained 62.3% of the variance in the health status of delivery workers. The model confirmed that sense of coherence was the most important factor. Health status is directly affected by working environment, social support, and health promotion activities. Health status is indirectly affected by working environment, social support, and health promotion activities through mediation of sense of coherence.
Conclusion
The theory of salutogenesis is adequate to use for developing health promotion programs for delivery workers. There is a need to develop a customized program to increase health status of delivery workers by enhancing sense of coherence.

Purpose
The study is examined the effects of the smoking cessation program of life skills training using flipped learning for male middle school students.
Methods
The study was a nonequivalent control group non-synchronized design. The Smoking Cessation Program of life skills training using flipped learning is a Smoking Cessation Program that applied 5 stages of flipped learning such as before class, introductory class, during class, after class, and during work. Participants were 32 male students attending a middle school in D city, with 16 in the control group and 16 in the experiment group. Data collection was conducted from February 26, 2019 to May 14, 2019 for the control group, and from May 28, 2019 to August 19, 2019 for the experiment group. The collected smoking knowledge, smoking attitude, self-efficacy, basic psychological needs, and urine cotinine were analyzed by x² test, independent t-test, two-way repeated measured ANOVA, and Fishers exact test using the SPSS 25.0 program.
Results
The experimental group showed higher smoking knowledge, smoking attitude, self-efficacy, basic psychological need, and urine cotinine negative response than the control group, and there were significant differences.
Conclusion
These findings indicate that the Smoking Cessation Program of life skill training using flipped learning is an effective intervention for cessation of middle school male students, and it has a positive effect on the increase in urine cotinine, and a physiological indicator of the cessation effect, and is effective in the success of smoking cessation.

Purpose
The purpose of this study is to analyze occupational accident compensation insurance coverage and occupational accidents incidence for special-type delivery workers. Methods: The data for occupational accident compensation insurance coverage and occupational accidents from 2012 to 2017 were analyzed through descriptive statistics. Results: Rates of occupational accident compensation insurance coverage of special-type delivery workers decreased gradually from 43.4% in 2012 to 28.5% in 2016, and 29.0% in 2017. Rates of occupational illnesses death per ten thousand workers increased gradually from 2.1‱ in 2013 to 3.1‱ in 2016, and 8.6‱ in 2017. All occupational illness deaths were due to cerebro-cardiovascular diseases. Road traffic accidents and slips accounted for the largest proportion of occupational accidents. Conclusion: Special-type delivery workers have a high risk of industrial accidents, so it is necessary to raise industrial accident insurance coverage and provide professional and systematic occupational safety and health services.

Purpose
The purpose of this study is to construct and test a structural model for the Post-traumatic Growth (PTG) of police officers. The conceptual model is based on Calhoun and Tedeschi’s PTG theory.
Methods
Data were collected from 269 police officers working at 10 police stations in Seoul from September 26 to October 9, 2017. The exogenous variable was traumatic experiences, and endogenous variables were pain perception, self disclosure, social support, deliberate rumination, and PTG. The collected data were analyzed in order to calculate the direct and indirect effects of factors affecting PTG using SPSS/WIN 23.0 and AMOS 21.0.
Results
The hypothetical model showed a good fit to the data: x² /df=2.57, GFI=.90, CFI=.95, TLI=.91, RMSEA=.07, SRMR=.07. The hypothetical model showed a similar result with the data, and out of 10 paths, 7 were statistically significant. The model explained 36% of the variance in the PTG of police officers. The model confirmed that social support and deliberate rumination had a direct effect, and that self-disclosure had an indirect effect on police officers’ PTG. Conclusion: Nursing intervention programs to increase PTG of police officers should focus on deliberate rumination, social support, and self-disclosure. In addition, they should be accompanied by various crisis managements and consultations that can promote PTG.

Abstract PDF: PURPOSE
This study attempted to identify regional disparities of self-rated health among Korean wage workers and to investigate the influencing factors on them.
METHODS
The study subjects were 25,069 workers in 16 regions who were extracted from the 2014 Korean Working Condition Survey (KWCS). A multilevel analysis was conducted by building hierarchical data at individual and regional level.
RESULTS
In this study, â€˜financial autonomy rateâ€™ and â€˜current smoking rateâ€™ were identified as regional factors influencing the workers' self-rated health. When the socio-demographic and occupational factors of the workers were controlled, â€˜current smoking rateâ€™, a health policy factor, explained the regional disparity of workers' health status.
CONCLUSION
We found that the health status of workers can be affected by the health behavior level of the whole population in their residential area. In order to improve the health status of working population and to alleviate their regional health inequalities, it is necessary to strengthen macro and structural level interventions.

PURPOSE
This study aimed to identify the association between psychosocial work environment and depressive symptoms among Korean teachers.
METHODS
Data on 235 elementary school teachers and 341 middle and high school teachers was obtained from the 2014 Korean Working Condition Survey. The effect of psychosocial work environment on depressive symptoms was determined by multiple logistic regression analyses.
RESULTS
The prevalence of depressive symptoms was 18 % in elementary school teachers and 24 % in middle and high school teachers. When adjusted for demographics and other socio-psychological and environmental factors, â€˜social community at workâ€™ served as a protection factor for Korean teachers' depressive symptoms. In addition, â€˜cognitive demandsâ€™ in elementary school teachers and â€˜social support from supervisorsâ€™ in middle and high school teachers were found to be predictors of depressive symptoms.
CONCLUSION
Interventions to increase â€˜social community at workâ€™ and â€˜social support from supervisorsâ€™, and to decrease â€˜cognitive demandsâ€™ may be helpful for Korean teachers at risk of depression.

PURPOSE
The aim of this research is to examine the moderating effects of self-esteem and resilience in the relationship between smartphone addiction and depression among middle school students.
METHODS
Data were collected from 324 middle school students in D City during the period of July 1st-17th, 2015. Multiple regression analysis, the Baron & Kenny's mediation verification, and Sobel test were conducted to measure the mediating effects of self-esteem and resilience on depression.
RESULTS
There were significant correlations among the variables; smartphone addiction, self-esteem, resilience, and depression. Self-esteem had a complete mediating effect(Î²=-.40, p<.001) in the relationship between smartphone addiction and depression(Sobel test: Z=4.68, p<.001). Resilience had a partial mediating effect(Î²=-.15, p<.001) in the relationship between smartphone addiction and depression(Sobel test: Z=2.40, p<.001).
CONCLUSION
This study suggests to apply self-esteem and resilience in developing nursing intervention programs for adolescent depression caused by smartphone addiction.

PURPOSE
This study was performed to identify job competencies and needs for job education perceived by new community health practitioners.
METHODS
This study used a qualitative research design. Eight new community health practitioners participated in this study. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and analyzed using content analysis.
RESULTS
Five job competencies were identified in this study, including primary care, public health management, interpersonal relationship, teaching and counseling, and leadership. The contents of job education that they needed were management of major symptoms and chronic diseases, understanding and prescription of medications, emergency responses and care, management of endemic diseases, planning and management of public health programs, writing official documentsand computer works, and leadership training. The learning methods they preferred were connecting theory and practice, situation- or case-based learning, skill- or practice-based learning, and increased opportunities of clinical practice.
CONCLUSION
The findings of this study provided the direction of job education for new community health practitioners. Job education for new community health practitioners needs to consider the job competencies and educational needs identified in this study.
